Hi, I was just wondering what you can suggest on simple cinch techniques for foot entrapment victims? I know there are some complex methods and also some that seem quite dangerous and not releasable so I would be interested to hear what you would try first. Thanks

There are a few different options... however, as you mentioned, they are not without risk. I think that a simple cinch combined with a stabilization line works well, is quick and simple...pending having access from 2 banks.
A one bank cinch is secure and releasable id you only have access to one bank.
You can also "pull and place" a one bank cinch into position with a tagline from the opposite shore...and if you want to remove the tagline you can load it as an "out and back" and pull it off by releasing one end and pulling the slack end through.
